If you have questions in your mind that “I don’t like reading but I want to” or you know someone who hates reading or you are searching books for guys who don’t like to read or a book for someone who doesn’t like reading or hates reading or you just want someone to like reading. and you may have promised yourself to read some interesting books but certain reasons hold you back.

First, you hate reading,

Second, you don’t find the time.

Third books are expensive

and finally, you don’t even know what to read.

So, In this post, I am going to try to solve some of these problems. The solutions to these reasons are so simple that you might go and try them out right away. These can take care of your every reason that’s holding you back from gaining knowledge or from reading your favorite book.

Answer to the First three problems is just one word. “Audiobooks”.

If you hate reading then why don’t you just listen to them? As you might not be fluent in the language you want to read the book in, but you can learn by listening to it. This is going to improve your love for literature.

Secondly, if you don’t have time for reading then listen to your favorite books while you go to sleep, while you are in the kitchen or while you drive. An average person can spend almost 10 hours per week on roads. This means you can easily finish a book in a week and believe me, this is a really good speed. You could read 52 books per year and how many do you read now?

Third, if you see books are expensive. Let me make, one thing clear that the knowledge you are going to get from a book is always far more than the price you pay. so, never see the price of a book if you want to read it just buy it.

Finally, if you don’t know the books you should read as you hate reading. Then, here is the list of books that you should try in 2020 and have a life-changing experience. You get the experience of some famous personalities without being actually facing the struggle and you are getting this at far less price.

So, let’s make your reading experience exciting.

book no. 1

Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of NIKE book by Phil Knight

This book has been a New York Times bestseller and is also on the recommendation list of Mr. Bill Gates as well. So, the key takeaways from this book are:

Even when Mr. Nike was coming out with an idea of a shoe company most people thought he was completely crazy. Because back then running was not that popular as it is today. in fact it was considered so weird that people would be throwing things at people running.

Nike showed us that all you need is the relentless passion to figure it out.

There are a lot of people who think that your ideas are weird too. Therefore, I recommend this book Shoe Dog is a must-read.

Range -David Epstein

You may believe that some of the toddlers know exactly what they want to pursue very early in life. but did you know Roger Federer dabbled in squash skiing skateboarding wrestling basketball and badminton before he narrowed down to tennis in fact much later as an adolescent?

In fact, Epstein’s research has shown that many successful people actually didn’t know exactly what they wanted to pursue at the start and they tried a bunch of different things before zeroing in on one.

So, if you don’t know what’s in your future then just dabble in a bunch of different things and read this book. Another book for someone who doesn’t like reading.

Book no. 3

The Winner’s Brain, 8 Strategies Great Minds Use to Achieve success book by Jeff Brown, Mark Fenske

Eight strategies that great minds use to achieve success by Jeff Brown and Mark Fenske. This book takes a neuroscience perspective on the brain and I’ll share two interesting studies from the book.

It was conducted on cab drivers that use their own memory to find routes instead of using Google maps and they found that over time the hippocampus actually grew and developed in size and the hippocampus is the part of the brain responsible for visual and spatial memory and this shows that we can actually change our brain over time.

The second study they conducted was on performing musicians where they did a functional MRI and when the musician was performing inflow without actually worrying about his performance or the audience the entire brain lit up not the left side or right side but the entire brain and that tells us a bit about being in the flow or being in the zone.

This book gives us five powerful tools to help us change the landscape of your own brain.

Book no. 4

The Rudest Book ever  by Shwetabh Gangwar

This book helps you find your own identity. It is a hard-hitting straight-faced book. In the middle of this chaos, it’ll make you laugh and ponder over your own inner thoughts at the same time. I especially like the section where he talks about dealing with rejection. Shwetabh says that typically people have 1 out to 3 reactions to rejection.

  1. I am a loser, I am wrong. They feel like they’re a loser.
  2. Prove them wrong. They feel like I’m going to do really well and prove to them that I’m better than what they thought and,
  3. Everyone sucks except me. The last one is about negativity, hate message, the world is bad, everyone’s bad.

he goes on to tell us how all three of these reactions are detrimental to us and in this book he suggests a very cute interesting and unique reaction that we should have to rejection.

Insight – Tasha Eurich

This is a guidebook on self-awareness who we are, how others see us, and how we fit into this world. Tasha shares years of research with us and some startling revelations that she comes up within this book include that selfie-takers have a shallower relationship than other people and active texters do less personal reflection than most average people.

Also, one technique that she’s shown us to increase our own self-awareness is to replace the why in our questions with what now.

Let’s take an example. if you’re not happy with your latest job. Instead of asking the question, why do I feel so terrible? change it to what situations make me feel terrible and what can I do to change them.

Read this book if you really want to grow as an individual.

Book no. 6

A thousand splendid suns by Khaled Hosseini

This book is about Leila and Maryam with a gap of 15 years but they are married to the same man who’s way older than both of them. There’s a beautiful bond that develops between the two.

This book was the book that got me back to reading. I had stopped reading about 3 years ago and when I picked this book up I realized that I used to be in love with reading and this book revived the love for reading in me. I think in case you don’t have enough love for reading yet. This book can actually arouse love for reading in you.

Book no. 7

The Nine Chambered Heart by Janice Pariat

In this book, we see a woman from the perspectives of nine people. It’s not only extremely diverse but it’s so beautiful each relationship is different from the other one and all the men just recount their tales so beautifully and I’m pretty sure. It’s only because Janus Palliate wrote it nobody else could have d0ne justice to this beautiful plot.

I just cried when I read it. My favorite part was the butcher one because it was about toxic relationships that can never everlast. No matter how you try because at the end of the day there are some relationships that are not meant to be. This book could be the one for someone who doesn’t like reading.

Book no. 8

Mickey Mouse flies the Christmas mail

Last but not least, I have a book that will make you fall in love with reading forever. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to like reading because there’s no way you’ll not love reading after this book.

This book is about 20 pages long and it was really cheap about half a dollar. Honestly, it’s a kid’s book so in case you have a kid at home who likes to read. Just give him or her this book. They are going to love this.

so I hope you enjoy reading these 8 books as much I did.
